We're up to something like 35 feet of snow so far this season, and it's lush. The base is 96 inches at the top of
Storm Peak (altitude 10,377'), and around 76 inches at
Thunderhead (top of gondola, altitude 9,070' [thanks to Kent at SkiCorp!]).
Here are the latest random pix, for your surfing pleasure:

They keep it moving in the Bashor Bowl Terrain Park, and the riders are always better than the photos that I can get of them...

This is one of our favorite runs on our mountain, called Westside. It's fairly steep, usually groomed every couple of nights (so no bumps), and it has the most incredible view of the valley.

The easiest way to Westside is from the back of Wally World (Sunshine Lift Line Drainage, way South, way RIGHT on the area map). After you have shred as much of the powder trees in Wally World as you can , take the South Peak lift over the ridge, and you'll get off at the top of Rendevous Saddle Ridge (South Peak Flats). Just go straight off the lift and keep going (not to the right) and you'll have your choice of: Rolex (mongo bumps) Westside (steep and clean), or the Broadway cat track, which actually has a very nice picnic table with a great view.

People look at me funny when I say that Westside is where I stop and say my prayers, but it really does have a spiritual effect on me. It's the place that reminds me how thankful we must be for all of this that we have and enjoy.

And speaking of thankful, here's about 45 mph of wind driving the snow crystals into your eyeholes. We all just turned our backs to the wind, grinned, and made more turns. What else can you do? Run inside and warm up? I don't think so...

We've had some typical Colorado "bluebird" days, with gorgeous blue skies and warm weather, and a few of those "changing conditions" days as well, with winds up to 45 mph.

When I took this photo, I thought of Shay, and whether or not she was freezing also, sametime.
The rider in this photo was a lot smarter than me, at the time. He was facing AWAY from the wind, and I was facing into the wind, but not for long. My goggles leak.

Let's wrap it with a few of the Winter Wonderland shots, just to prove that we do have a TON of good snow, and more on the way, no doubt!

It's TIME to get up here if you haven't yet this year. You'll find what you are looking for!
